Meeting Notice Will be Emailed to Members
As per the decision at a recent General Meeting, the board will in future send out agendas and other communications to your email address rather than by post. The purpose of this change is to reduce postage costs and to enable the board to communicate with members more effectively.
Important – You can Opt Out if you do not wish to receive meeting notices via email:
If you wish to continue receiving agenda mailouts via post rather than email, please let the board know, otherwise future meeting notices will go to your email address.Note: If we do not have your email address, you will continue to receive correspondence via post.
We have recently posted each member a letter explaining this and checking with you that the email address we have for you is correct.
Access Agenda Via Website:
In future Agenda’s will also be posted on the website within the required notice period. All members who have a website account are able to access the agenda on the website by logging in and going to the member’s library section. Notice of Board Meeting: Seeking Agenda Submissions
Proposed Special General Meeting
7th October 2017The board invites all members to contribute agenda items
On Friday the 8th of September there will be a Board Meeting with the purpose of setting an agenda for the upcoming SGM. All members are welcome to attend.
You can submit agenda items by email, post, verbally or in person at the Board Meeting. As per the rules, members have the right to submit agenda items to be included in the agenda for any upcoming General Meeting and are only required to give 28 days notice of such items (Rules 57c, 57d), therefore submissions can be accepted up until the 9th of September.
However if you will be attending the Board Meeting to discuss your proposed agenda item and will be seeking input or feedback, please submit your resolution by the end of the 7th of September, so that the secretary can prepare an agenda for the Board Meeting on the following day.
Formal notice and the finalised Agenda for the SGM will be mailed to all members on the 15th Sept and posted on the website.

AGM Postponed
Hi fellow Nmbngeeians!
I have sad news and happy news to deliver. The sad news first: I’m sure you will be crestfallen to know there will be no meeting this weekend. Due to unpredictability of weather and road traversability, we are postponing the meeting for two weeks. We will confirm the exact date of the AGM via text or email, but it is likely to be Saturday two weeks from now. UPDATE: The postponed AGM will be on 22nd April, 10am. Download AGM with new date..
Now for the good news! Everyone is safe and (relatively) dry! The creeks sprung up and separated the back from the front and the front from the outside world. Which left the community not much more isolated than usual, the way we like it. Roads in the area are in a sorry state, but once Murwillumbah and Lismore return to normal most roads will be traversable. If you are coming from Nimbin to Nmbngee, at the moment you will need to go via Stonychute Road, as the Pratts bridge (just before the peacock farm) is out. You can see the damage here Pratts Bridge Washed Away. It may be more than two weeks before the bridge is replaced, so keep that in mind when making your way to the farm in a couple of weeks time.

People are planning to arrive at the meeting half an hour early (9.30am) with food, so we are hoping you will too! So reminder, the SGM will be at the Mainhouse on the 4th of September, starting at 10am, breaky at 9.30am.
Let’s get back to our roots and approach this meeting with a resolve to move forward in positivity and community spirit! One of the problems we have faced as a community is that we haven’t been a community! We don’t have any regular community forum that everyone can contribute to, so by the time General Meetings come around problems and issues have stewed and festered. So lets fix that! Lets be a community again!
I’d also like to encourage people to use this website, and the facebook page, to contribute their thoughts, hopes and aspirations, their achievements and goals, their histories and plans, so that the electronic mediums can be an extension of community and enhance our communications with each other.
